Illinois Shakespeare Festival is seeking to fill several part-time seasonal positions in the front-of-house operations for the Festival's 2024 season. Employment will run from (roughly) July 1 through August 13, 2024.
Hours vary depending upon the position, typical hours will be approximately 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., Tuesdays through Sundays and 9 a.m. to noon Thursday and Saturday. Must enjoy working outdoors in the summer!
The Festival plays to audiences of over 8,000 every summer and operates under an Actors' Equity Association U/RTA contract. Illinois State University is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
Mature individual capable of solving seating problems and handling patron concerns. Must have previous experience managing the front-of-house for a theatre, supervising ushers, and maintaining schedules. Light cleaning of the theatre area and the Ewing grounds will be required.
Polite and welcoming individuals who are naturally helpful, calm and observant of patron needs. Must be able to move up and down steps easily. Light cleaning of the theatre area and the Ewing grounds will be required.
